PROGRAM
DESCRIPTION:
Through singing and drawing, I will entertain and inspire the students
to
creatively strive to be the best they can be by demonstrating the
following:
• How the creative process works.
• That music can influence art and art can influence music.
• Illustrate to the students the steps to create one page of
artwork from my book.
• Emphasize the importance to always improve their creative endeavors.
• Most important: Practice makes perfect!!!!!
PROGRAM DETAILS:
• Illustrate how a page in a book goes from the printed word
to sketches to
inked drawings to final coloring and shading.
• Draw and sing to music to illustrate how music inspires and
shows creativity
• Involve students in the creation of some of the drawings by
their suggestions.
• Students may be asked to participate in singing and drawing!
• The singing program is geared for students up to the 5th grade.
• A more technology based program is planned for Middle and High
School.
• For older students, I will have a question and answer period
if
they want more details.
